Julian Attractions Julian is famous for apples, apple pie and gold mining tours. But this small historic town has a lot more to offer than that. It is truly a year round destination where you can enjoy nature, hiking, birding, cycling, horseback riding, star gazing, wineries, orchards, boating, fishing or picnicking at nearby Lake Cuyamaca and more. We have an historic walk, the Pioneer Museum, the California Wolf Center, several art galleries and loads of boutique shopping. We are close to two casinos and not far from the unique Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Besides our scenic beauty and great attractions, we host several events that are fun for the whole family.
